Victoria
McKinney-Vareschi has been named KSM’s Interim
Executive Director. Vicki comes to us with an eclectic
background that includes social work, public school
teaching, restaurant ownership, and a previous nonprofit
executive directorship. Her experience in planning,
marketing, grant-writing, community-organizing, administrative
management, and partnership-nurturing make her a welcome
addition to the KSM effort. She has only been onboard
a month and has already brought great ideas and follow-through
to the KSM table. We are thrilled to have her on the
team. Welcome Vicki!

On
March 20, 2010 Keep Sound Minds hosted the 2ND ANNUAL
MEMORIAL BENEFIT. Approximately 250 attendees were treated
to good food, great music (thank you Rockphoria!) and
insightful presentations. Jim Pavle, the Executive Director
for the Treatment Advocacy Center, was the keynote speaker
and Jamie Staton from WMUR Channel 9 was the master
of ceremonies. Lindsey Graham (Miss New Hampshire) and
Amanda Kelly (Miss Massachusetts) both attended and
participated in the program. Thanks to everyone involved
for participating, KSM greatly appreciated your contributions
to the evening. In addition, both Ken and Danielle Lambert
shared some heartfelt words from the podium, demonstrating
the strength and courage on which KSM was founded. As
a result of the evening, KSM was able to award a total
of $9,000 to the high school and college PSA Scholarship
winners.
